The word repentance often has a certain connotation of shame attached to it and people often resist when others say that you need to repent because they feel that others are saying that they are better than you are. The Church in the past has made people feel like they are filthy, worthless, dirty, rotten, scum, sinners not worthy to be in the presence of God but this is not true we all are worthy and God loves us all the same, He has no favourites. God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not holding us accountable for our SIN. Repentance is the first step forward and it is a positive step into the light of God although it only follows conviction by the Holy Spirit of the need to repent. Repentance is only changing your mind about the way you think. You realize that you have been going the wrong way, living your life contrary to the way of God and destruction has been in your life because of your ignorance of His perfect way. Repentance is a turn around or a change of direction, you no longer want to continue on a path of destruction, rebellion, and hopelessness a life filled with selfish ambition and pride, a life of lust and insecurity but you now put your trust in the hands of God your creator and live life the way He commands.

Repentance is not shameful for all have sinned and we all fall short of the glory of God, we all need to repent to come into His presence. We all like sheep have gone astray and we all need the great shepherd Jesus to lead us into green pastures. We can starve in the desert without the Lord and try to scratch out a living and finally die of exhaustion or we can follow Him into lush grass and running crystal clear waters and never die. Repentance means that we have to turn to Him if we want to live and it is this awareness in our own heart that makes us turn and swallow our own pride and change our mind about the way we are to live. We are to see that we have been living apart from His care by living our lives in separation from Him and that this separation is not the way that He has ordained our life to be. God has made it obvious to us that He is with us by His creation all around us and His Word has gone out into all the world, we all know that God exists. Even an atheist in dire straits or great peril will call upon the God that they say does not exist. God has spoken to us all from within us and there have been times in your life when you have heard Him for yourself, you know that God is real but you continue on, doing your own thing. We need to know that living our lives outside of the will of God brings destruction to our selves and to everybody else, because we are all one body in the earth.

SIN is a natural part of life and it is a necessary part of the process in making sons of God.

Sons of God are any people male and female who have given their spirit, soul and body to Jesus for perfecting into eternal life.

Sin is a part of the plan of God and the fall of mankind was always in the foreknowledge of God and it has a special purpose in our redemption and eternal life. God subjected us all to the vanity of our minds in hope by the work of His servant Satan as he deceived our original parents Adam and Eve. The deception of our minds has given us many self enemies or false gods which give us an unclear or untrue picture of who we really are and when we repent and come back to God then we overcome all and live as His sons in the eternal realm, heaven on earth. To be in Sin is normal and everybody is or has been in sin, so repentance is necessary for us to return to the glory that we had with God before time began or before we found ourselves in this body of death called self. So do not be ashamed of the need to repent as it is necessary to do so to be free from bondage to sin and death. It is wise to repent and when you do you will grow in wisdom, understanding, power, knowledge, love and all of the divine nature of God.

We need to overcome SIn in our lives, which is only thinking for ourselves rather than hearing from God and doing His will. Sin brings death and Jesus has overcome sin for us by His death burial and resurrection so we now can come out of SIN consciousness and live forever. So we need to repent also from Sinning or thinking for ourselves and put on the mind of Christ, which is to do the will of the Father GOD.

SIN is.

SECONDARY INDEPENDENT NOTIONS

Secondary means (next after the first order, belonging or relating to a second order, division,
taken from something else, derived, not primal or original

Independent means (not under another's control or authority, not depending on someone or
something else for existence, operation, help, support. Self sufficient, refusing to accept others
for help or support)

Notion means (general, unclear or imperfect idea of something. An opinion or belief, fanciful or
foolish idea. Whim. Becoming aquainted, conception, not real, imaginary.)

SIN is when we receive, conceive and believe notions, which are positive and negative that
come to us that are from our own fallen state, from our mind, from our polluted heart and from
the other people in the fallen world. ADAM was able to live forever, he was innocent, he was
mortal. He only brought death to mankind when he became SIN for us. SIN was there to show
us the need for the law of life. The law of life is needed to overcome or transcend the earthen
state of our bodies so that we become sons of God and sons of man, perfect incorruptible and
immortal.

When we sin we transgress the law of God and the actions that result are our iniquities or our
wickedness, the bondage, sorrows, pain and the brokenness that we all find ourselves in. So SIN causes our transgressions, which are our iniquities. Many Christians say that God gave us a mind to think but Adam gave us a mind to think, God gave us a heart to know. Jesus has the
mind of Christ, which is to do the will of the Father. When we are thinking for ourselves then we
are evaluating what to do, we are double minded and vacillating in indecision, we are eating
from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. We are not to choose good over evil and become a god who makes that judgement but we are to receive of the righteousness of God by setting our
mind on the spirit and acting out of His righteousness, which is already established and given as a gift as we surrender and accept Jesus as Lord. We are not to think with a carnal mind but
know with a heart of God. We are not a separated identity, we are with Him in the beginning, we are one in His Son. Come out of SIN consciousness, come out of self identity, come out of religion, put on the mind of Christ and join the power of the only ONE.

I have heard people say that their heart is too dirty or too black to turn to God and that He would never forgive them for the sin that is in their lives. I have heard people say that they are not sinners and that they don't harm anyone else and that they live their lives in a good way and they help others and that God will look after them. You can learn to be a very very good person and train your nature to please others and help and be a community minded person who cares for the lonely and sick and do all manner of good deeds you can be the most loved and well mannered person in the world but unless you have surrendered to Jesus and repented for the sin in your life then you are in hell or destined for hell. ( It is hell being separated from God) I have heard some say that they could never turn to God because others would kill them if they did and that they are in such bondage to men. No matter what the bondage you are under there is no excuse for not turning to Jesus and asking Him to save you, if it is not now, then it will be next time when you are resurrected at the end of time, so best to do it now. Nothing is new under the sun and there is nothing that has not been done before in the way of transgression that is not common to mankind. One person could have killed millions of people and been a mad despot and another may have gossiped to a neighbour, both offenses will keep both out of heaven until they both repent. The magnitude of the offense does not determine the outcome although they have different ramifications on the body of humanity. The fact is that both people are living their lives out of a sin consciousness and are thinking for themselves without God in their lives. Both people are still eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and deciding what is right and what is wrong and acting accordingly, they are playing God. It is not wrong to see yourself as being equal with God because you are His offspring but you must not try to seat yourself above God and make your own universe. This is what happened in the garden of Eden when Adam fell, his soul wanted to be above God and He was made to fall, this is the fall of man.

Many people go into false repentance and only do it because it says so in the Bible and it must be the thing to do. They make for themselves a fire escape from hell, the only problem is that it is not connected to heaven. Repentance must be because you feel the inner conviction of the Holy Spirit telling you that you have been going against God and that you can now receive salvation by belief on the name of Jesus and turn away from your sin. You can now start building a stairway to heaven from where you already are at, by feeding from the tree of righteousness or the tree of life within your own consciousness. By eating of the divine nature of Jesus, eating His flesh or everything that constitutes Jesus and by drinking His blood or ministering spirits. Jacob in the book of Genesis saw a ladder going into the heavens and angels ascending and descending, as Jesus mentioned also in the book of John chapter one and verse fifty one, angels would be seen ascending and descending upon the son of man. We need to repent, be baptized in water, be baptized by fire and follow after Jesus, climbing the ladder to heaven as angels ascend and descend upon us. If dark angels are around us then we are listening to the world and we are on a downward spiral to the pit of hell.

The repentance for forgiveness of Sin is necessary and when you call on the name of Jesus you will be saved from your SIn. Jesus will show you a new and a living way to the tree of life within you. The Gospel of Christ has gone out from Jerusalem into the outermost parts of the earth and all will repent and bow their knee to Jesus to the glory of GOD the Father and the whole earth will be filled with His glory and we all will be free and live forever.
It is wise to repent and turn from death to life. Worldly wisdom will not bring eternal life only the wisdom that is available through revelation from the heart of God so when you open your heart to the knowledge of God you will know the wisdom needed for repentance and the worldly wisdom will look like nothing in comparison. People in the world still see with eyes of the fallen man and they idolize the creation and worship the creation rather than the creator.
 

Rom 1:16-25
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
17 For in it {the} righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "But the righteous {man} shall live by faith."
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God, or give thanks; but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,
23 and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, that their bodies might be dishonored among them.
25 For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

The servant of the Lord Satan told the lie that was believed by Adam and we all believe the lie that is so close to the Truth. We all tend to believe what comes from the wrong source and we tend not to trust what comes to us from within as God speaks to our hearts, we need to relearn how to hear and see spiritually and behold the spiritual truths of God, we need to repent or change our mind about the way we think.

Ps 90:3
3 Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

  Repentance is wise and not shameful, it is the first step forward from death to life, do not delay in repentance. Change your mind about the way you think, no longer think about self with a mind which is self contained and limited but think with the mind of Christ, which is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent, join with the power of ONE and transcend time and space and all the natural laws of the universe. We all are one body, starting off as the carnal corporate man Adam and we all are becoming the corporate man Christ, we all are one a part of another, we are in Christ, the Father is in Christ , the Son is in the Father and we are in the Son. Adam is the son of God and he is being resurrected into the Christ Son, so play your part and become one with us all, help restore the fall.

Repentance is really feeling sorry for going your own way and wasting your life without knowing God. It is feeling sorry for all the damage that you have done in the lives of others in your ignorance of God's plan of life. It is feeling sorry for your rebellion and selfishness. Repentance is a broken spirit or a feeling of being crushed with nowhere to turn except to your maker Jesus. It is feeling sorry for not loving God, not loving yourself and not sharing His love with all people. It is also thankfulness that you have now woken up and now you have hope and a sure future. It is a great feeling of joy bursting into your heart as you cry and know that you are being healed and set free from the spiritual chains that kept you locked in darkness and sadness.  It is a combination of feelings as you know that you are not to blame for the way you have been but that you are now free. It is a feeling that you did know better but never trusted the voice within you and kept on a path of destruction but now you are home free with a hope of glory.

Col 1:27
27 to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Repentance is breaking through your own pride and saying I was wrong doing things my way. It is breaking the dam of all the weight of your own worries and putting them on Jesus. It is giving up the fight against an unbeatable enemy and joining with them and finding out that they were not against you but for you all the time. It is like no longer swimming upstream to where you thought the goal was but giving in and flowing down stream to where we all are gathered together in the calm of life's pool of cleansing and peaceful waters. Repentance is a decision that comes only when you hear the voice of God speak to you and give to you an inner security and peace of His presence in you and a wonderful assurance of trust in Him. It is a desire to know who you really are and wanting to come out of that facade and pretense that you put on to make yourself someone that you are not. It is a genuine heart felt desire to become authentic and know your true identity. Repentance is continual and on going until you are made perfect and restored into the image and likeness of God, which you had in the beginning with Him before the world was. Repentance is the deep desire to be healed from all of your hurts and brokenness. Repentance comes from an inner knowing of how you are meant to be and it is a feeling that you are not how God made you. Repentance comes from a small voice within you and it is Jesus calling out to you, for Jesus is the true light that lights every man who comes into the world and when He appears to you a second time He appears without Sin unto salvation. Repentance comes because you are meant to repent, it is wise and it is a part of the plan of God. Repentance is wanting to become the person that God made you to be, it is recognizing that your true identity is Christ and that you were with God in the beginning and that you are returning to Him. Repentance is knowing that you are returning to God and your body is your inheritance, your promised land and that you want to claim it and have your land healed.

17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

 Jesus said that the Kingdom of God is within you. You are the Temple of God. Repent and let God fill His Temple.

2 Chr 7:14
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Repentance is only the first step and this is the point where the direction of life changes and instead of life going from you it starts to return to you. Regeneration occurs and your spirit is quickened as the Holy spirit enters your mind and then your heart. This engrafted Word of God or the seed of Christ needs to be nourished to maturity and you need to recognize the special place in your mind where you have this inflow coming in and feed your new identity continually.
Follow hard after Jesus when you have received Him and diligently seek Him, you will overcome every enemy within you as you call upon Him in prayer. Do read other writings about the tabernacle of Moses and the three spiritual feasts of Israel, for your continued growth. The Bible is the source of knowledge and is good for correction, teaching and rebuking so read it daily with prayerful openness to what the Holy spirit will reveal from Christ.

The work has been done and you are free except for the deception that remains in your mind because of lack of repentance and the lack of the knowledge of your salvation. Sin remains no more, except in your own mind because you feel self condemned and in need of finding a way to please God by your own self effort.

It is wise to repent.
